title says it all, i bought nero 8 the other day because i lost my nero 6 cd(btw nero 6 was much simpler) and this nero 8 is soo confusing, even for me plz explain how to burn .avi files to a dvd, thx
Nero does not do a great job of converting avi files. You need to find another coverter. I use WinAVI, but there are many available. Once you have a DVD made use Nero or ImgBurn to write it on a disc. If you have a Serial number, you can download Nero 6. http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_burning_rom/tech/?539 http://www.nero.com/enu/downloads-cleantools.html P.S. Post a Nero history log.
convert with vso divxtodvd http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd_free.cfm
Unless you purchase ConvertX toDVD it will leave a watermark on your movie, heres a guide using NeroVision, which in my opinion does a good job http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/Guides/alkohol_guide3.html
ok i converted the avi to a dvd format, but when i try to burn it says that i cant use dvd-r dvds... why?
hey i got imgburn and it burned the dvd great!, thx guys. i got more questions though, 1st i read something yesterday about how to strip subtitles, extra credits and whatnot off of movies to make them shorter(had to be what 4.38gig?) and there was a summary of how to strip subtitles(what im aiming for) and a program to do it, now i cant find what i was reading so. i need info on how to strip subtitles off movies. also say i want to burn a tv series to dvd, how can i create the "episodes list" on a burnt dvd? because mine auto-started, and a episode list is basicly a folder where i can pick witch episode to watch, thx
i noticed the water marks you mentioned, i dont like that. im trying the nero idea (someone??) mentioned.
how about a 3rd idea? the nero copy i got is fux0red and i dis-like that water mark. im still unsure about stripping the film of subtitles
Why do you want to strip the subtitles? Do you want to obtain a subtitle file, or just get rid of the subtitles? Are we talking about subs from a DVD or an Avi file? If you can't get Nero to work and don't like the water mark in CVX2DVD, try DVD Flick(it is free). Latest version will alow you to make menus for each episode. http://beginwithsoftware.com/videoguides/dvd-flick-guide.html
i was talking about a avi file that allready has subtitles and i wish to remove them and i will look into that
