I downloaded this version of Nero to solve some burning issues i was having with version 7. My new issue with this one is with the BackItUp program. It will not allow me to Uncheck the "compress data before backup" box. The only thing I can do is set the compression level from low, to normal, and to high. I want to turn off compression altogether but the box with the checkmark is shaded gray and will not allow me to uncheck it. Can someone please explain this or tell me how to turn compression off?
Had the same problem. You'll need to go to File>Options, Backup tab, and uncheck the compression option.
As the last reply states, you can go to File > Options, Backup tab, and uncheck the checkbox that reads "Compress data before backup" But, you still may have problems trying to uncheck that checkbox also. If so, you need to set the "File backup format:" under the Advanced Options (same dialog box that is already open) to "Backup each file separately". Once this is done, the "Compress data before backup" can now be unchecked.
