I have Nero 8, and I was wondering if it was possible to burn .AVI files onto a dvd with .SRT files. Could it also hardsub the video with the subtitles. Soft subs are fine too, if I can set it to run without having to use a DVD remote. (lost mines ><)
AFAIK Nero still doesn't do subtitles. You could burn .srt subs to the AVI (permanent subs)with Avidemux then convert the new AVI to DVD with Nero Vision. Run Avidemux. Load or drag the avi in. Main menu 'Video' => 'Encoder' =>MPEG4 (XviD) Main Menu 'Video' => 'Filters' => 'Subtitles' (Double click 'Subtitler). Set the colour, etc and check the preview. 'Close' back to the main window. On the left menu 'Format' => 'AVI' If you wish you can change the view to 'Output' and use the slider to view the subs before saving. Click on the 'Save' logo and give the file a name (including extension E.G. new.avi) http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/avidemux.cfm
