I have been having all kind of issues with burning DVD videos and I am beginning to suspect that Vista and Nero are fighting each other on this computer. I am going to remove Nero and see if any of the other five burning programs will work now. I am getting freezing video.

maybe burning to close to outer edge of dvdr / cheap media

set options at 4300meg output - burn 6x speed

what discs you useing this is usually down to cheap media used

    @ Rotary
Is there a way in nero 8 to set the burn speed and have it remember that speed everytime it opens? I use express alot and only verbatium 16x. But when i get in a hurry i forget to open the side panel and drop the speed down from max. I like to use 12x with my benq 1655 and 8x with my nec . I know how to do it in imgburn and like that setting. If i could at least get it down to 8 every time so i don't mess up a burn. I have been lucky so far ,every one that i burned at the max by mistake has been okay.
