Hi all, My first post here. After reading the forums I still have not found an answer to my problem. I'm attempting to burn DVDs in Nero 8 (Nero Vision 5) that were recorded from Microsoft Media Center 5 in DVR-MS format. Audio and Video are out of sync when loading into Nero Vison or once burned onto DVD. I renamed the neaudio2.ax and nevideo.ax files to oldneaudio2.ax and oldnevideo.ax and now get a black preview screen in Nero Vision (not the most user friendly for editing). Emailed Nero Tech Support twice in two days and they haven't bothered to respond. Any thoughts? Erik
i read here that people are disabling nero codecs so it will use other pc codecs installed just for this OOS problem
Yes...I read that too. Now where do I disable the NERO codecs? I thought the neaudio2.ax and nevideo.ax were the codecs. I am missing something here - where do I find the additional codecs and disable them. Likewise how can I assure myself that 'other' codecs are installed and useable? Erik
the other pc codecs i would use are the k-lite mega codec pack this user on AD called cyprusrom will know how to disable nero hes done it.
I loaded the K-lite mega codecs, I disabled the Nero codecs per the threads I read by cyprusrom. Back to the same problem in NeroVision where I can hear files but the video show up as a black screen. I need to see the video to edit it - lol. Still nothing from Nero tech support as well. Thoughts? Erik
load the file into gspot and see what codecs are being used to check. maybe this or prolly nero itself? could try putting this nero one back in only nevideo.ax not the audio so nero uses pc codecs for that one, at least you will see the video again and maybe get it in sync too...
I'll have to try the gspot program. I did try just renaming the audio codec (neaudio2.ax) and leaving the video codec but the sync issues continued. From what I can see/hear. The video track is stretching. It starts out 'almost' in sync but not quite right on but as the file continues the audio gets further and further behind the video. Erik
