I recently upgraded to Vista and my *very* old version of Nero was, of course, incompatible. Now I have nothing but problems with version 8. Sometimes it will burn a dvd after startup, but will throw errors and "burning unsuccessful" messages on other attempts. I've tried memorex and tdk dvds, but the same thing is happening on both. Any ideas? Update your firmware to 1.04 from here http://www.de.nec.de/software/2325_FW_ND-3540A_win104.zip Sadly I dont recommend either of these discs, try Verbatim or Sony (made in Japan) You are using poor quality discs so slow burn speed to 4X There are later versions of Nero8 available.
