Hello... Your probably all over some new guy asking dumb ass questions about Nero problems. Chances are I'll have low quality media or a bad install of Nero or something like that but before I go throwing out all my blanks I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. I'm trying to copy a DVD. I've tried many different methods all ending in failure. These include DVD-Shrink, ripping an image and then burning it, disc to disc burning, other burning programs, etc. None have come up successful. The all end with the another wasted disc I have to throw out because it refuses to play in any DVD player is try. Here is the log from my last attempt with Nero which ended, yet again, in failure (Something about a TOC error, could not complete disc at once (sorry about the vagueness of this, it took me a while to retrieve my password for the forum and I forgot the details )) I've never had an issue with burning/copying DVDs up until this point. There's a slightly newer version (1.22) for your burner's firmware here: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pio/pe/images/portal/cit_3424/278019998DVR107D_FW122.exe Have you tried burning with ImgBurn to eliminate Nero as the problem? Try some different media as a test? Burn maybe at 4X instead of 2.4X? The combo drive is out of DMA transfer mode and is in the error tolerant PIO mode. This is sometimes indicative of communication errors on that data channel. Also the combo drive is showing as master while the DVD burner as the slave. Sometimes DVD burners like to be in the master slot. Check your cable and make sure it's seated firmly to the motherboard and each of the devices. Use Device Manager and uninstall the Secondary IDE channel your two drives are on and restart the system. The channel will autoinstall upon the restart and hopefully correct the transfer mode problems if any in fact exist. To uninstall the channel in Device Manager: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038 If that doesn't solve the problem, try switching your combo drive and the DVD burner so that the DVD burner is the master and the combo drive is the slave. Be sure to change any necessary jumper settings on the drives to match the master/slave positions on the cable. If that doesn't work try leaving the combo drive uncabled. Bad drives can sometimes mess up the channel for other devices. You may want to install your burner in another system to verify that it works properly.
