I think the nero 8 scout database can be useful. But occasionaly I find that its entries aren't correct. For example, when looking for .jpg (photo)files, some scout folders don't show all the .jpg files that I know actually exist in those folders. I've tried to "Index now" & "Rescan Folders" but that doesn't help. Also, I haven't "Removed" these files from scout. Why isn't the scout database accurate & how can I get it to "update" and stay accurate?
Nero scout is just a system hogging waste of time why you would need to index your files for quick access is beyond me put your pictures in my pictures folder music in my music folder applications in my files folder etc has you’ve found scout isn’t very reliable so my advise is uninstall it
