I have just upgraded from Nero 7.I am sure I converted a video VOB file set to mpeg with nero 7.

Can someone tellme how I convert this file type to mpeg as I want to create a flash video for the web?

    Thanks.

I don't have Nero installed at the moment, but as I recall, in Nero Vision, load the VOB or VOB's (you would use the merge button to make them one large file) then click on 'Export' and select the file format.

I've done that with no apparent ill effects - although there are many posts warning of subsequent (unspecified) problems.
The only one I can think of is with external hard drives and memory sticks that use FAT32, you might run into the 4GB limit for a single file.

Thanks, I think I've got the hang of getting it converted to something called mp4. This raises some other questions:

    1. WMP will not play the video (RocketLaunch.mp4) only the sound (it shows it's default screen "saver"). But does'nt complain at all.

    2. If I try to play it in Quicktime the sound is OK but the picture is frozen the jumps forward to another scene then stops completely.

    3. I want to convert this 400MB MPEG-4 movie for the web (e.g. flash progressive). Where can I get the knowhow to do this?

No, so I installed it (ran the exe), thanks. Now WMP shows a picture and calls it an unknown DVD. iTunes does not play it and says nothing!
