I just moved my Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-350 board from an AMD XP pc to a new Vista32 Intel C2Q one. I had my source connected via exact same s-video and LR stereo y-splitter. I use used WinTVCapStart on XP and everything captured perfectly. WinTV2000 also seemed to work. On the new box WinTV2000 records no signal. Nero 8 Ultra's Vision records video perfectly, but the audio is silent. I used defaults, including Dolby AC-3 2.0 for audio, choice. Behind my pc is a real mess so checking the entire wire path is something I'd rather not do ever. The end connections are as on the XP box. I plugged the audio into my X-Fi soundcard input jack and played the DVR feed and the sound is there. So it's not the wires. Must be something in the pc either hardware or software. Also, I have a second Hauppauge HVR-1800 with Microsoft drivers installed.
