Why is it so slow and take up all processing speed? I have Amd duo core 2.4Ghz, 2gb ram, 500gb hd, vista, abit motherboard. Charlie
Nero 9 you say? where did you get that little gem from? If this is a typo then the answer is simple. All ripping and encoding takes vast amounts of processor power, so it is often advised that you have no running applications in the background, and that you don't surf the net or anything at all to be honest. You can however check your DMA settings just in case. Goto device manager -> double click on DVD/CD rom drives, then right click on the drive in question. With vista it may be different, but what your looking for are the DMA and PIO settings. Make sure PRIMARY and secondary drives are set to DMA "on" (direct memory access) Sorry I don't have vista to help out fully, but I guess you'll find your way around...yes? Cheers.
