    Hi all ,
I had downloaded a demo version of Nero 7
Last night it expired so I went aheand and bought it.
It worked for the rest of the night but now it says
    Third party patent activation
connecting to the internet is necessary to enable a one time activation , please connect to the internet now by clicking on the download button.
Well when I click on the button nothing happens.
    Any ideas would be appreciated

I am running windows xp with Norton

    thanks

    Deb

When you purchased Nero I assume that they sent you an email with your serial key included....delete all traces of Nero using the clean tools that can be found at the their site, reboot and redownload. Then enter the serial key that they sent you into the fresh installation and all should be well.

    Hmm

Ok I did as you said ,used the clean tool, and redownloaded,
Now when I go to install it says my serial number is incorrect!!
I am using the one out of the email from them.
I have reentered it several times to no avail.
    Any suggestions?

    thanks
    Deb

Did you use Nero ProductSetup to change the serial number? The latest version of Nero 7 (7.5.0.9)seems to have a glitch in this area, since I had to reenter my serial number. I also got a message about overwriting the old one, which I did and it worked after that. Someone said the update to 9A was because of a registration/demo situation.

If you want to go into the registry and try changing it there.
