All, Usual apologies if this has been covered before... I have a few ISO's in the form of .BIN files from torrents, and I could not get Nero to burn them, despite reading forums here and elsewhere due to the above message. I finally found that it was being caused by the name of the directory and .bin file having a number of special(?) characters, eg brackets. I renamed the directory to something simple and the name of the .bin file, then I used notepad (right click on .bin file and use open with, notepad is an option in that menu.) I edited line 1 so that it matched the name of the new .bin file. NB you dont need to put the directory name in the .bin file, just the name of the file itself. You will see the original name in quotes. It did the trick, hope this helps someone out there.
You're a little confused. There are 2 files (a BIN and a CUE). The file you edited was the .CUE [bold] NOT [/bold] the .BIN file. If you edit the .BIN file, your burn will be corrupt.
A litte confused, you can always rely on people on the web to set you right in a non-offesnive way, LOL. Seriously, thanks for that, you are right of course, its the .CUE file that needs to be edited, as well as the path and the file name if necessary. This is the case in Win XP anyway, I'm sure .Nix boxes dont suffer this.
