Is it important to use the "book type" that is the default for the inserted disk? I have getting errors burrning the 2nd layer of a dual layer DVD. Single layers burn fine.
Hi usndoc Booktyping a dual layer disc helps increase the compatability for the players. Players can be more picky with dual layer media. So I would leave that setting. The error burning to the 2nd layer could be a few things - the discs you are using, firmware not up to date or the drive itself, maybe burn speed and version of Nero. You can post the last failed burn log for the dual layer and we can take a peek. You can find them here: Nero 6 - program files>ahead>nero>nerohistory Nero 7 - program files>nero>nero 7>core>nerohistory. Just be sure to edit out the serial # - they usually begin w/ 1A, 1C or 5C.
