Hello, i uninstalled Nero 7, ran cleaner, installed 6.6.0.18. Tried to burn iso via "burn image." burn process got to 7% and stayed there until error popped up. I do not know if it is in anyway related, but i have tried burning on alcohol 120% and nothing happens. Alcohol says burning started but stays at 0% and will do nothing. Update...i went ahead and updated my firmware to 2.FA. saw my media is a bad brand (although i knew my old memorex was crap, i didn't expect phillips to be made by same company!! weird). don't know if my DMA is on or off. i do appreciate the help.
Maybe slow down the burn speed--it looks like you are doing CDs, so I guess it is faster than the 8x DVD burns, but 48x may be a little fast-- It says it will do DMA mode 2, have you tried setting it to DMA? I don't even know if you can with that setup. It looks like you had a Roxio product installed because of the driver (CDRALW2K.SYS). I don't have the link, but you may want to get rid of it. I wouldnt recommend using these discs try some Verbatim or Sony (made in japan) Try slowing burn to 24x or 32x max. You have Roxio installed, it clashes with Nero, run this zapper to remove http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml Heres something on that error
