    Hi,

I have been following Alkohols guide and have a couple of questions.

What exactly does Book Type mean??

If you follow that guide do you then go back to use New Compilation???

So once you copy the file to hard disc I gather there are various Nero applications you can use to burn onto a DVD??

And once some kind soul has answered these questions I´ll no doubt have a few more!!!!

i use nero all the time for burning many things.. i have never yet altered the book type the program sets it automaticaly so no need to worry about it.. nero is a very self explanitary program.. so for burning basic things like word files and pictures or videos its best just to follow the step by step paths in nero itself... choose what you wanna do and just keep going... best to use nero express for most things as its a little easier at first

Hi Annie, how's it going. Heres a guide by alkohol on booktyping, it's pretty much self explanitary. I always use DVD-R discs (Verbatim) so have never had the occasion to booktype as my standalone players love my -R media. Cheers.

Some standalone dvd players can not play/read DVD+R DL media, so maybe you need to "book type" your DL backup into DVD-ROM. By book typing it to DVD-ROM format, it fools your dvd player to think that it's the original dvd, therefore, it'll play them just like any commercial/regular dvds. *NOTE: since your dvd burner is the SONY DRU 810, you may want to use the Lite-On tab inside DVD Decrypter.

Here is a guide on how to "book type" via DVD Decrypter. This is when you're "ready" to burn to the blank media (DVD+R DL, DVD+R, DVD+RW) only. NOTE: set both of your "source" and "destination" ready, then do the following and burn it. If for some reason the (DVD+R/DVD+R DL) doesn't work for you, then try the (DVD+R/DVD+RW/DVD+R DL - EEPROM!), it should work, if you have one of the drives that DVD Decrypter listed)
