I'm using the latest retail version of Nero Burner on XP Home with SP2. Sometime between downloading XP updates and Nero updates, I find that I can only burn audio CDs at 2x. However, I can burn CDs with RealPlayer and Windows Media 9.0 at 8x. I've upgraded my aspi32 to version 4.71.2.0 and that has not helped. The FAQ at Nero suggests a roll-back to a version earlier than 4.6.0.1021 - I cannot find it. Is ANYONE using Nero Burner WITH success? I know I'm not the only one with this problem. Is there a solution to this?
I have nero 6.6.0.1 and have no problems burning any cd. No problems either with write speeds, etc. How do you add the files to CD ? Cheers
I add files to the CD by dragging them from the harddrive and dropping them into the list. However, since my original post, I've ditched my "problem child" LG Electronics burner. Yesterday, I purchased a Sony CRX230AD CD-R/RW burner. It came bundled with Nero OEM software. It can write up to 40X. It works exactly how it's supposed to now. Problem now "solved."
