Nero Burning does not recognise dvd burner

    Have nero ver. 5.5.10.54

    Replaced pc hd and copied nero folder to it. I didn't have nero install program since I downloaded it from nero so I don't think it set up properly.

    When I go to "chose recorder" my burner does not show up as a choice.

    Is there any way to get it to recognise my burner?

    ( I have Nero's serial or activation#)

    try installing the very latest 5.x update you can find, as dvd burning arrived late in 5.x. (the last 5.x update i had was 5.5.10.78 but there might be others). if the latest update has the same issue then 5.x doesn't support your particular burner and you'll need to buy 6.x
