    Best if you post the rest of the log. Missing the 1st part which will also help.
    Copy and paste everything between something like these of the last log:
    ======***NeroAPI History***=====
    Your Memorex are made by Ritek which is decent.

    editted to add: Just be sure to remove your serial # - they usually begin w/ 1A,1C,5C.

    Not a whole heck of a wrong in the log which is good!
    Nero can't format the r/w disc. You can try and do a full erase.
    If this doesn't work try another brand like Verbatim.
    I would also suggest switching to +r instead of +r/w. +r cost much less than +r/w and can be burned faster.
    For those I would also recommend Verbatim or made in Japan Fuji, Sony or Maxell.

    I thought about upgrading to Nero 7 but the updates seem to be really buggy compared to Nero 6. I've been using Nero 6.6.0.18 for the longest time without any problems and to be honest with you guys I'm afraid to upgrade because of all the Nero 7 horror storys. If I were to upgrade version 6 to 7, what version of Nero 7 gives the least amount of problems with burn errors and things like that? I would appreciate the help..... elusiv1

    I'd pass on the +r/w's and just use +r's unless you have a real need for the rewriteables. +r's are so much cheaper.

    @elusiv1
    I still use Nero 6. I use 6.6.0.18 on 2 pc's and 6.6.1.4 on another. No real problems w/ either version. The only thing w/ 6.6.1.4 no autoburn w/ shrink.
    Will I upgrade to 7? Maybe but right now 6 has everything I need. Since every pc setup is different and ever user uses it for different things it's hard to say which version will work best for you. Too many variables.
    Plus only the problems gets posted so it may appear that there are more issues than there really are. And they can be caused by things that don't have to do w/ Nero.
    As the saying goes if it ain't broke don't fix it :)
    Look over what Nero 7 has - it may fit your needs better and be fine.

    @kcjackets, In binkie7's absence, I would recommend the -R format however if your burner can booktype then either is acceptable, Cheers.

    @elusiv1, I think you'll find the best version of Nero7 is 7.0.8.2 available here
