I have only been doing the movie dl thingy a week, and dl an mp4 movie which also installed k-lite codec, ffdshow, and haili splitter. since then, Nero freezes at 1hr.55 min. or thereabouts remaining. I can still load img. in and burn, but 2,3 or whatever avi. files will freeze. It doesn't matter at the beginning if it says it will take 1.40 or 2hr. and 40, they still freeze at about the same time remaining. The burner works fine with Inter video windvdcreator, but I got used to Nero being able to burn more than 2 hr. mode, plus the menus look cool. The burner is a sony dru-800a, which has been flawless to this point, but since intervideo still works fine, I figure it's a Nero problem. Uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. I now have coasters enough for a large party. Any ideas?
I forgot to add that when it happens, puter goes to %100 and the door won't even open, I have to open it just after restart, if that makes a difference.
That version of Nero is causing a few problems so I would uninstall, run Nero General Clean Tool and re install this version which is bug free http://httpdl2.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe
I called a friend last night, and he had me to reinstall mine so I could read something to him. The Nero aspi was fine, but the system aspi was'nt installed. Probably goes back to the original uninstall and removing the k-lite and ffdshow. Anyway, he told me how to reinstall an aspi, reinstall my Nero, reboot and everything, so the first task I tried to do was load some avi files as data disc, and it came up with that same ---- error message, wanting to know if I wanted to report it or not. I know little about computers, and less about patience, but this stuff is getting old. If I uninstall mine again, and load the link you sent, is there ANY chance about that aspi file leaving again. He said he has a copy of 7 that he's not using, that I am welcome to, and that it would solve my problems, any feelings one way or the other on that? I'm ready to pour a glass of iced tea down this thing. Thanks for taking the time to respond to a newbee(an old newbee though)and I will look tosevening to see your response. Thanks again, and we'll see ya!
