Hey guys i have been having a problem burning the backup files after using dvd shrink. I have nero 6.6, i believe my dad updated nero when i was out of town, and think that is why it fails to burn. I uninstalled the nero program but forgot to write down the serial number, rookie mistake. I do have the program on another computer. Is there a way to locate the serial number so that i may reinstall my nero and continue to backup my dvd's. I would appreciate your help.
One way is to open the NeroHistory file. It should be the first number you see in the file. For Nero 6 the NeroHistory file is in this path: Program Files -> Ahead -> Nero -> NeroHistory
It should be right at the top of your nero history file: [bold]Nero 6 history log location: Program Files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.txt[/bold] If the removal took out the history file too, look for it on you other computer in the same location. All burns start out with your serial number listed first.
