Hello, New here, but some years back was a lurker here. Anyway, I have since had to upgrade to windows 7, over the beloved win XP. I can no longer use my Nero 8.2.1 software. It was perfect for burning . I dont like to use other splitting software for cue files as i want the best for the recording. Anyway, that;s the purpose of Nero do this usually! I was able to burn the image file for Pink Floyd BUT it took forever to load, more than 1 minute + 5 even maybe. The heart album had an error with it? and possible the software fault with this, as the old burning rom was instant ! Doesn't look like the file extensions are showing? Open the folder and on top menu, click: Tools > Folder Options >View. Uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types' . 'Apply to folders' and 'OK'. I would think that the 302,873 KB file is the .wv image.
Thanks Attar, You are correct, i the .wv is the 302.872kb file, which i can play with vlc. I have a feeling that Nero does not support .wv image files. I feel like installing the old Nero on my old pent4 R3000 Compaq notebook, not sure that would work either plus, i like the dvd burner on this pc, i use it burn cdrs only google has Wavpacks? maybe that is what Nero needs
Hi Attar, i got a wavpack and installed into the audioplug in, burnt on test discs, before using my TY, listening atm for any problems
I don't know if you're still out there and will see this. You didn't say why you couldn't install v8. Since v8 is not Win 7 compatible, right click on the .exe file and select Properties. In the Compatibility tab, set the mode to Vista or XP SP2. Check the box to "run this program as administrator." Apply the changes and try the installation. Does that help?
