Situation: DVD burner: LG HL-DT-ST GSA-4167B with firmware DL12 Software: Nero Burning ROM 7.0.5.4 DVD Media: Infinito Samurai DVD - R which is supposed to burn at 16x speed, though it always fails for me at that speed. 8x write speed is OK though. Problem: Using Nero Burning Rom 7.0.5.4 when I burn a Video DVD (at 4x write speed) using hard disk source for the VIDEO _TS directory, I get the verification error "Read errors from sector 0 to 15" However the DVD plays on a standalone DVD player and my computer OK. When I compare using WINMERGE 2.4.2.0, the hard disk source of the DVD (e.g. VIDEO_TS directory) to the DVD (which I just burnt) every file is compared OK. i.e. Binary Files are identical. Please note that for winmerge I do have file compare method set to "full contents" - so I assume each and every byte of the files is compared. So what's up with the verification error "Read errors from sector 0 to 15" from the NeroROM 7.0.5.4 burning software???? Can I safely ignore this NeroROM verification error? This only seems to happen with DVD Video format burns.... normal data dvd format burns are OK.
