I know this is probably a stupid question but I just installed an xecuter lite 2.3b and am trying to install the 4983 bios. Anyway, on the xecuter website it has the tutorial on burning the bios to a disc using nero. I was reading on another site that I could download a trial version of nero to do it. I downloaded the 3 trial packages that are supposed to be the same as nero 6 ultra but wasn't able to find the burning rom. All that I was able to get was nero express, smartstart and some other things that didn't help. So my question is, is the nero burning rom on the trial version, if so how do I get it? Am I able to burn the bios and the dummy file using any other program? Also what's the difference between the oem nero and retail nero other than the lack of instructions and packaging. Thanks for any advice.
I didn't install any of that other crap. Just the main burning program (the biggest of the three downloads). In the start menu it placed the burning rom shortcut in the nero 6 demo (i believe it's called) menu. If it's not there, open express and click the nero button on the bottom left of the window. That'll start the burning rom.
Or you can click on the expand button on the left of Nero StartSmart and it will list all the individual programs, such as Nero Express and Nero Burning ROM and you can launch each there. But it does not matter if you use Nero Express or Nero Burning ROM. They are one and the same program, just an advanced interface in Nero Burning ROM versus a more user freindly interface in Nero Express. The outcome is the same. Regards, Craig
