How do I turn this feature off?
I burned a CD of mp3s from a webpage and I went to burn another copy of the CD later for a friend and it said it can't burn (the burned CD) because it is "copyrighted" or it may have said "copy protected".

Can I turn this off so CDs aren't burned protected?

ANy help will be greatly appreciated.
    thank you.

That is very strange. For someone to burn a CD/DVD that is copy protected they have to run a prog such as AnyDVD to break copy protection. Once this is done you can make as many copies of the copy as you like.
The copy protection is broken and therefore NOT transferred to burnt copy.
I have found in my own cases it has NOT been necessary to run any copy protection breaking progs while backing up CDs, it does say it's copyrighted but you can still copy it.

well, I just downloaded a bunch of mp3s from a website... and burnt a CD. Then afterwards I tried to burn the burnt CD and it wouldn't complete the process because it said it was copyrighted.

I am not very computer literate, that's why I am looking for advice.

    I will keep searching...;)
    (thanks anyway)

I cant give an explination but if you have saved the songs to your hard drive you can keep burning CDs from there.
