Nero CD-DVD Speed

    Hi!

    When i try and use the Nero CD-DVD Speed program to check the quality of my discs, I have a funny problem.

    When i select my internal drive, a cheap liteon cd/DVD combo drive (not a burner) I can run the test. However, if i select my external USB drive (my burner) it won't let me test - the start button is simply ghosted out. I'm able to run all the other tests on both drives however.

    Anyone able to help out?

    Some drives don't support nero's speed test scans. Some of nero's versions also limit function of that tool,if you have the basic nero oem disc.

    You may be able to try dvdinfopro:

    There's a 90 day free trial,but same as nero-may not support all drives.

    Humm, well I'm not that fussed. Made 9 backups so far and they've all worked perfectly on serveral DVD players and PC drives.
