I am new to this forum and not sure if this is the right place to post my problem. I am using nero cover designer to make a DVD inlay for a case and everytime I print it up it always cuts it about 1/8 of an inch short and wants to print the rest on another sheet. have tried everything I can think of to fix it but nothing so far. I just can't seem to be able to move the image over to move the image over far enough to fit on the entire sheet. can anyone help please. this problem is driving me nuts.
Make sure you are using the correct paper size as well there is a print preview that shows how you cover is comming out. If you are using the background function too put the picture in, try using the insert image way and size it yourself.
during the print preview it shows that the cover would print correctly but then I get this problem. I did create the inage myself as you have describe but still nothing.
Which case insert paper are you using? If you have a preset one, is it actually A4? If it looks right in the preview but doesn't print correctly, maybe there is something about your printer's margins that is moving it over that distance. Lastly, if you calibrated the printer, would it help? (File-preferences-Printing tab)
Download the help file from the Nero site. Calibrating would line up the printout if it was printing the correct size. If it overlaps on one side, you might be able to make it smaller and move it to the left or right. I need to calibrate mine since it seems to be about 1/8 inch off when printing CD labels. I guess the bottom line is make sure the printer is printing at the correct location and then adjust the image to fit. But as I mentioned, if it shows correctly in the preview, it may be a basic mechanical printer problem. That might be helped by new drivers for the printer.
