Hi guys, I'm a virgin to the forum. I need help desperately with my Nero software. I'm having problems accessing the software due to a crashing problem where I get a message and error signature.... NEROSTARTSMART.EXE HAS ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO CLOSE. WE ARE SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. This has really got me stumped. I'm guessing it's a registry problem, but I really can't put my finger on it. I've used to Nero cleaning tool, uninstalled the software and reinstalled but it still doesn't fix it. Can anyone help?
Are you installing from a disc or a download? Uninstall again and use all of the Nero cleantools....Registry cleaner, general clean tool etc. then run Ccleaner and reboot. Try reinstalling and see if you have any joy.
I have nero 6.6.0.3, but I've tried to install other versions and I get the same error message. I've used nero cleaning tool repeatedly as well as registry cleaners, uninstalling and reinstalling, but no luck. I seem to get the same error signature with every version of nero
