hey, nero crashed while i was trying to burn something, and now my cd drive wont open, it just keeps spinning. what should i do?
Turn off the PC. If you just want to get the disc out, with power off there is a small hole above or below the drive door. Put a straightened paper clip in it, and that will unlock the door, allowing you to remove the disc. If you dont want to try that, turn off the PC, and when you turn it back on, eject the disc.
thanks. i was hoping to be able to do it without turning off the computer since im running some things, but i guess ill just have to restart once they are done.
Ive had that happen to me before, and turning off the power was the only way to stop it. Just save anything you can in any other open programs and you may have to press and hold the off button for a few seconds to do a manual power off. Its not the best way to do it, but sometimes its the only way to un-freeze a software/hardware lock-up.
