I hardly use Nero Vision to convert, but I'm trying to read and learn Vision while hanging around here (Nero Forum). Below is what I noticed. Something went wrong here, possibly due to corrupted certain VOBS of your AVI files. Nero is old, update to the latest 6.6.0.18 Your best bet is to add/upgrade another 512MB to boost up your CPU, or at least try to free up more memory ram. Don't multi-tasks, when converting, encoding or burning. Do "ctrl+alt+del" and try to end process on any unuse programs/applications, or START, RUN and type msconfig, click on STARTUP and disable any unnecessary startup programs. Dump that Roxio program, it won't do you any good, except interfering with your Nero when burning. Go here http://www.downloadjunction.com/product/store/15199 and get Roxio Zapper to completely wipe out Roxio from your system.
"Something went wrong here, possibly due to corrupted certain VOBS of your AVI files. - How do i discern what went wrong so i can correct it? VOBS in avi files? All my avi files that i was trying to burn play fine. No problems, so they should burn fine, unless the program is just a piece of trash. Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nero API version: 6.3.1.29 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nero is old, update to the latest 6.6.0.18 " Thanks for the idea - but I should not have to keep updating a program just to keep it working. And frankly, the way these giant corporations are going, i no longer trust them with all the spyware, spying and restrictive additions to programs they are inserting into them. It was working fine, so shouldnt need to suddenly update for working with same type of files i was before.
- i've just read this bit for now. I hear ya, however it just doesn't work that way, it's the way of computers, we don't like bugs, but we can't stop them so we gotta keep up to date with patches/fixes
