Yesterday my brother gave me a home movie of his birthday that was on a DVD+RW disc. I decided to make my own copy so I went out and bought some blank DVDs. When I went to Nero I selected the disc format as DVD, and went to Copy Disc. It created the image file, but when it started the burn process it immediately read "Burn Process Failed", I've never had this before. Here's a log of what happened:

I'd really appreciate any help you could give. Thanks a lot.

    What Media are you using?
    Nero is normally very reliable.

Sorry, I'm not quite with you.

The original media (a movie - it plays in my DVD player fine) is on a DVD+RW, and when I tried the "Copy Disc" function, it created the image file but instantly after burning it said "Burn Process Failed".

Hope this is a little clearer.

Edit out your serial number before someone pirates it

Try for Nero update, both packages , from here

    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

    Package 2
    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

Update your firmware to YYS7 from here

    http://www.sonyisstorage.com/bv_downloads/cpce/dvd/YYS7_WIN_B.EXE

You have Roxio installed, it clashes with Nero, to remove, run this zapper http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml

You also might like to download a trial version of AnyDVD and have that running also while you are backing up your movie
