    Hi,

I've browsed countless pages and updated my DVD RW firmware and tweaked lots of settings, without success so far :(
Nero keeps telling me "illegal disc", (could not perform start of disc at once, burn process failed at 2X) when trying to burn a DVD.
    (I've tried with a Impega DVD-RW and a Imation DVD-R) I can burn Imation CD-RWs though.
    Please help !!!
    Here's my log :

Lets start by editing out your serial number

Try for Nero update from here, both packages

    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

    Package 2
    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

DMA needs to be on, heres a guide to turn on

Not top quality discs, try Verbatim or Sony (made in japan)
