Hello. I was wondering if someone could take a look at this and tell me what is wrong? I have never had a problem burning before. Your DMA is off. here is a guide on how to turn on; http://my.afterdawn.com/alkohol/blog_entry.cfm/231/dmaissues Your Nero Version is old, and known to have bugs. Update here; ftp://ftp3.usw.nero.com/software/nero7/Nero-7.0.1.4b_eng_no_yt.exe I haven't seen this media code before. What is it? Your drive does not like it, cannot recognize it Something I said before,I would advise against Burn At Once. If your hard drive has file system errors, if an error occurs during transcoding,the error can not be corrected and it will transfer onto the DVD and the burning process can error out in the middle of the burn. First save the files to HDD and then burn. Very important is quality media. Your media sounds very fishy. get some Verbatims, Sony-Maxell-Fuji Made in Japan. Also, make sure that the compilation you are burning, the file target size is not larger than 4350Mb. Once you get some good media, you should increase the burning speed to X4. burning @X2 is overkill.
I followed the guide an upon reboot DMA was on but when I inserted a Blank DVD+R (JVC) DMA was turned off. I went back to using an older version of Nero that worked well in the past ver 6.6.14. I turned off Burn at once and it worked fine. Thank you for your help. Any Ideas why DMA turned off when I inserted a disc?
