i am new to this software because i have never heard of it till it came with my 52x24x52 cd/rw artec i want to burn a audio cd and the music skips and just sometime won't play? Next tried to back up my folders on my hard drive they said burn successful but when i try to take folders off the cd is says cyclic redundancy error? and it doesn't matter if i cut the file or pasted or copy it will not let me extract the file i have tried everything i can think of slowed down the writting speed and did what the guide said to do.
Do you get better results using other software? Has the drive made any good burns? CRC means the drive can't read the disc - dirt/scratches or corrupt files. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Gigabyte 8INXP, Intel P4HT 3.06 Mushkin 1024 MB PC2100 Sapphire 9800 Pro/M-Audio Revolution 7.1 Plextor PX-708A/Plextor Premium/LTD-166S "And we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight." i tried media-player to burn a cd with the same artec 52x24x52 burner and still got bad quality audio. i have a dvd player but it doesn't allow me to burn cd's well atleast it doesn't see the empty cd so i can't try that. i just tried it out for the first time this week and so the answere is No. i do use it to read my Nascar 2003 cd when i play the game. it never missed a beat and i race alot.
so you are thinking that my cd-r's are bad? i have never heard of those. i use memorex cd's 40x black say perfect for music and data games.
i was doing some looking around in my hardware and i found this stuff about tranfer mode and on my artec 52x24x52 burner is has DMA mode if available but the burner is in PIO mode and it doesn't seem to want to change manually so when it burns does it decide to do DMA mode
