I have had very few problems making backups of DVDs until the last few days. Usually, shortly after I start Nero and the initial Nero window comes up and I try to do anything, my computer will restart and give the windows error message "recovered from a serious error...do you want to send a report". At least three times I have uninstalled and reinstalled Nero OEM suite that came with my DVD writer. Then it may or may not partially work for a little while. I was able to make a backup of a backup. Immediately thereafter while trying to use NERO with DVD Shrink, after analysing and going on to backup, it immediately restarted again. I took my computer to the person who put in the DVD writer and he said that there were too many DVD programs running on startup. I had ANYDVD, DVD Decrypter, DVD FABExpress and Nero installed. I'm not sure what he did but he said that it was fixed. When I came home and tried it, I saw no improvement. I then uninstalled all of my DVD programs and then reinstalled only Nero. I'm still having the same problems. I have ran virus checks with McAfee and AVG. None found. I ran various PC Doctor checks - no detected problems. Otherwise, my computer is running perfectly normal. Any ideas as to what the problem is or how to fix it? Thanks in advance for your help. AvoleseSH
I'm using Nero OEM Suite - Nero Express 6.6.0.17. Also, I used the DVD burner with an HP program for burnining CDs and had no errors.
