I apologize for this post in advance as i just don't have the patience to go thru 300+ pages to see if there is a topic about this lol, sry. but i would sincerely appreciate any help i can gget here. I left for basic training and AIT and was able to burn movies in an .avi format fine before i left. i came back and now when i try to burn a movie it takes anywhere from 6-8 hours and then fails to burn anyways. i have also tried to use roxio and im too dvd to see what was up. all are taking an extreme amount of time to encode and burn and then fail to do it anyways. i will attempt again tonight and then post a log of it but i thought maybe in the meantime someone would maybe have an idea on what might be causing this. i thank you for any help you can be.
one thought is that Nero and Roxio clash on some computers. If it worked before with both programs ok..... but something happened and they might clash now. Also another point might be that your DMA has dropped into PIO mode... check to make sure that your DMA is still turned on, here's how: http://my.afterdawn.com/alkohol/blog_entry.cfm/231/dmaissues and what version of Nero are you using? if you can post a log!
