    Hi.

The last section of the log you posted still has your Nero program serial number beginning 1C..... displayed. Click the pencil/paper icon in the upper right of your post to enter edit mode and delete that serial number.

This is a picky burner and not well supported by Matshita/Panasonic.

I've never heard of a media with the code AML so I'm guessing it's likely of poor quality. Update: They are made in Hong Kong and many burners do not have support for them in their firmware which is likely the case here.

The trick seems to be finding a media that works and then sticking to it. Recommended media for this burner is 8X TDK, Verbatim, and Taiyo Yuden.

There's a considerably newer firmware (version 1.04) for the 830B version of the burner here:

I have no idea if it'll flash to the S version which you have or not. I probably wouldn't try it.

Get some different high quality media like Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden. If you can find some Fuji or Sony 8X that is labeled as Made in Japan, that will also be Taiyo Yuden media in most cases.

    Hello.

There seems to be a bit of black magic involved sometimes. :)

Let us know how you make out.
