Hi, You are a few versions behind on nero 6. Before installing use this link http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html Run the clean tool to completely remove your current version of nero, reboot and use the links below to get the known stable version of nero. http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe These may have worked for you but looks like they are the ones made in Taiwan..the sony dvds made in Japan usually code out to be TY02 (or something similiar) known to be taiyo yuden media which is highly regarded for quality. I suggest purchasing some verbatims as they are another brand of top notch media. Also check sony's website as there seems to be an update for your burners' firmware which is currently: And the latest might be available on their site which is version JYS3. Slow down to 4x until you get the issue corrected. General rule is to burn at half speed for less chance of errors when dealing with video. After you have made the corrections I suggested post back and let us know if you need additional help.
i did everything but still not working i switched back to the dvd-r's ive been using (maxwell) and still nothing i also burned at 4x but heres the new log Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: File 'Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=4.71 (0002), size=45056 bytes, created 7/17/2002 9:20:56 AM ahead WinASPI: File 'C:\Program Files\Ahead\nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 10/26/2004 6:35:34 PM Nero Version: 6.6.0.18 Internal Version: 6, 6, 0, 18e Recorder: <SONY DVD RW DW-D26A> Version: JYS3 - HA 1 TA 0 - 6.6.0.18 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 1 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ATAPI CD-ROM: <SONY DVD RW DW-D26A >Version: JYS3 - HA 1 TA 0 - 6.6.0.18 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 1 === Scsi-Device-Map === DiskPeripheral : WDC WD400BB-75FJA1 atapi Port 0 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : SONY DVD RW DW-D26A atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8483B atapi Port 1 ID 1 DMA: On === CDRom-Device-Map === SONY DVD RW DW-D26A D: CDRom2 HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8483B E: CDRom0 ======================= AutoRun : 1 Excluded drive IDs: WriteBufferSize: 83886080 (0) Byte ShowDrvBufStat : 0 BUFE : 0 Physical memory : 638MB (653312kB) Free physical memory: 289MB (296352kB) Memory in use : 54 % Uncached PFiles: 0x0 Use Inquiry : 1 Global Bus Type: default (0) Check supported media : Disabled (0) 26.6.2006 UDF/ISO compilation 1:19:45 PM #1 Phase 112 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1832 DVD-Video files reallocation started 1:19:45 PM #2 Phase 114 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1832 DVD-Video files reallocation completed (no file modified) 1:19:45 PM #3 Text 0 File Isodoc.cpp, Line 6359 UDF document burn settings ------------------------------------------ Determine maximum speed : FALSE Simulate : FALSE Write : TRUE Finalize CD : TRUE Multisession : FALSE Burning mode : DAO Mode : 1 UDF Mode : UDF/ISO bridge UDF Revision : 1.02 UDF Partition Type : physical ISO Level : 1 (Max. of 11 = 8 + 3 char) Character set : ISO 9660 Joliet :FALSE Allow pathdepth more than 8 directories : FALSE Allow more than 255 characters in path : FALSE Write ISO9660 ;1 file extensions : TRUE 1:19:45 PM #4 Phase 111 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1832 DVD-Video files sorted 1:19:45 PM #5 Text 0 File Reader.cpp, Line 127 Reader running 1:19:45 PM #6 Text 0 File Writer.cpp, Line 122 Writer SONY DVD RW DW-D26A running 1:19:45 PM #7 ISO9660GEN -11 File geniso.cpp, Line 3309 First writeable address = 0 (0x00000000) 1:19:45 PM #8 ISO9660GEN -11 File geniso.cpp, Line 3309 First writeable address = 0 (0x00000000) 1:19:46 PM #9 Text 0 File Burncd.cpp, Line 3233 Turn on Disc-At-Once, using DVD media 1:19:46 PM #10 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 270 Last possible write address on media: 2298495 (510:46.45, 4489MB) Last address to be written: 1557999 (346:13.24, 3042MB) 1:19:46 PM #11 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 282 Write in overburning mode: NO (enabled: CD) 1:19:46 PM #12 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 2483 Recorder: SONY DVD RW DW-D26A, Media type: DVD-R Disc Manufacturer: CMC MA - G. Hi, CMC disks are considered bad disks most who have used them. (See second link in my signature for more info on reputable dvd media). Here again your media seems to be the culprit. I would suggest verbatims which are very good. The sony or fuji I would use would have on the outter wrapper MIJ (made in Japan) which are very good but hard to find since CMC is the cheaper manufacturer for larger corporations. A recent thread on illegal disks and reference CMC manufactured media http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/358064

So that I could comment on 7.2.3.2b, I tried it to burn 3 AVI flies which I had successfully burned using version 7.0.8.2, sadly each burn was unsatisfactory so I reverted to 7.0.8.2, tried them again with success…my conclusion..7.2.3.2b was a failure when it comes to burn AVI files. I did the following, uninstalled 7.2.3.2b, ran this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then installed 7.0.8.2 from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845 Trying to burn too fast also, slow to 4X Update firmware to PSOA from here http://www.liteonit.com/DOWNLOADS/ODD/SHW-160P6S/firmware/DR16PS0A.zip DMA needs to be on, heres a guide to turn on http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038
