These things need to be corrected.
Firmware can also use an update.

this may also interfere with Nero burning a DVD! this file can be found in Roxio/Sonic programs.... uninstall these programs to have better results.....

there is a better version of Nero 7.... 7.10.1.0........

Save your serial # then uninstall Nero!
Use the cleaning tool: Nero7 Clean tool http://www.nero.com/enu/support-nero7-tools-utilities.html
do a registry clean up using this free cleaner: CCleaner:
    http://www.ccleaner.com/download
then do a defrag and reboot!

    now reinstall Nero 7.10.1.0: http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?2893

do not multi task, shut down unnecessary programs running in the background, and even shut off your anit virus to save on RAM when burning DVDs!

    download your firmware update here:
    http://www.liteonit.com/global/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=154

this is your burner---- almost 4 yrs old now... update your firmware to burn the newer media that is being made now! And this doesn't guarantee that all your burns to newer media will be successful, but it does increase it's chances! When buying media try to buy the 8x +R media so you can booktype to DVD-ROMs, this will help make your burns more compatible to most DVD players! read this:
    http://k-probe.com/bitsetting-booktype-faq.php

what media to buy? There is only one for me! Taiyo Yuden, 8x, +R media! the best there is:
    http://supermediastore.com/taiyo-yuden-dvd-plus-r-media.html
the best success rate of all the media out there! Verbatim (made in Singapore/Taiwan is top notch, too).
