Shutdown whatever user programs are open before burning. Too many conflicts are possible. Disc Manufacturer: CMC MA - G. AE1 CMC Mag is among the poorest quality media manufactured. Stick to Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, and Made in Japan labeled Sony and Fuji disks. Burn process started at 8x (11,080 KB/s) 8X is probably too fast for this really poor quality media. I'd recommend upgrading Nero to 7.0.8.2. It's the best stable version of Nero. You can download it from here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845 Sony hasn't provided any firmware updates for your burner so you're out of luck there. Try the above fixes and see if that overcomes your problems. If not we'll have to flash your burner with Lite-On firmware. This Sony drive is actually made by Lite-On.
