Nero laptop DVD+ or - R will not play back

    Hello all;
    I have a Compaq Persario laptop with Nero DVD burning software. I cannot get a burned movie to play back on my DVD player for my TV(it says "this dvd cannot be played--error). It will play on my laptop. I have the button pushed for Data DVD when burning. This is quite frustrating, what am I doing wrong

    I forgot to mention;
    the player is a Sony DVD VCR combo and the software says "disc created successfully."
