I wanted to ask first if this is where I can post a couple Nero logs and see if anyone can read them for me.

Yes,I have ANYDVD running.I think I have finally come to the conclusion this burner is bad.I can only burn at 1X or 2X.It doesn't matter what program I use,Nero or Decrypter etc..It won't read a burned dvd either. The dvd will play fine on my standalone but doesn't even show up in this drive.I just burned a dvd full of mp3's with Nero and had to burn it at 2X.The mp3's did show up and play though.Thank you for looking over the log file,I appreciate that. With the problems I'm having with this burner, would you think it's time for a replacement?Any reccomendations?

You said the log looks ok,yet Nero would not burn the file at anything over 1X or 2X,does this point towards the burner being bad? I can't burn anything regardless of the program I'm using faster than 1X or 2X.

Have you checked for a firmware update for your burner? Sony discs made in Japan are good, but if made elsewhere, can be problematic. Are yours made in Japan? Try the burner website for any available updates as I'm not familiar with NEC burners. This "Sense Key: 0x03 (KEY_MEDIUM_ERROR)" usually means your machine doesn't like the media it's using. Being unable to burn faster than 1 - 2x sure looks like a firmware update is needed or your burner has seen better days. Good luck.

I have the latest firmware and I've checked the media and they're ok.I've been using Verbatiums and Sonys.I can only burn at 1X or 2X,regardless of the program used.Is this a indication of anything or just par for course the fact that I can burn a CD at the highest speed with no problem.
