Hi,I recently recorded a mates wedding with my video cam, which records to the small discs...
Last night I started to make copies to normal size dvds using nero 7,copy dvd........Now,according to the program it copied successfully...On playback I noticed the files on disc are now VIDEO_TS...
When either disc is inserted to play nothing happens...I now fear these discs and the wedding movie have been either lost or damaged somehow...I downloaded a dvd recovery prog which found that there were 7 files on dvd but I only see 6....Is there anyway to sort this?Any help appreciated, thnx

I assume you have Nero ShowTime. Open it. Out of those "haklf a dozen files that don't mean chit" do you have a VIDEO_TS.IFO? If so drag/drop it into ShowTime and see what happens.

There should be some VOBs of some significant size.

This should be the footage but where's the first one?

With the copy in your burner in My Computer what does it show for 'Total Size'. What does the original 'small disc' show for Total Size?

Can you read and Explore the original 'small discs' in your computer?

I don't have the disc to hand for now,I just returned it to m8,as I work nights,I'm short on time to solve prob...He's going to try a computer shop see if they can do anything..
I do have a copy on my computer though, says the size is only 12.1mb..(when small dvd was in drive sure it said 0 free of 1.36gb,does this not suggest the disc is full?).
Original played ok on computer/dvd player etc, just put it in and it played..but since I used Nero copy disc option,it has changed the files on original disc with the VIDEO TS,and when disc is put in drive it does not play straight away as before,it just shows folder with the files....Using a trial version of a dvd recovery program, the results show some extra files on the dvd,so hopefully these can be restored and all will be well....fingers crossed!
