ok, it spits the dvd back out and tells me to insert a disc to write to. but there is a disc in it. i have tried memorex dvd+r and maxell dvd-r (and i know they are bad media). Do you think that is the prob??? when i go to my computer and click on the D: nothing comes up. it is like it isn't reading the dvd. do you think it is b/c of the media that i am using. it doesn't get me the option to save the log. Is this b/c it really isn't an error with nero, it is a problem with the media???? does that make sense? also wanted to add, i have tried to put one of the dvds in my home dvd player to see if it works, and it says that i need to insert and dvd or if one is insert, it can't be played in this player. do you think again, that it is the media, or would that just be b/c it is blank. what should i do?
Sounds like a media problem, as suggested try using a different brand such as Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden or Sony(made in Japan) and see how it goes.
