I had to reinstall Windows XP a couple of times in the last week.

Now Nero is not burning disks. It did, however, save a text file of the error.

Maybe someone can look it over and help me to "fix" Nero so that it WILL work again.

    Thanks,
    Roseann

    It doesn't recognize the burner.
    Perhaps because of the version.

Last good version 6.6.0.18 without the Yahoo Toolbar.
Down load button on top-right of link page.

I haven't kept up with how good CMC media are, but a switch to 'Verbatim' might help.

In the interim, try Imgburn to burn the output from Nero.

I took your advise and downloaded the last good version 6.6.0.18.

That was the version I had before the reinstall of Windows. I must have updated from the original to that version some time ago. I had the exe file on the computer, but it wouldn't install. So thanks for the link :)

It worked like a charm. I just finished burning a copy of a disk and it works great.

    Thanks!!!
