All of a sudden Nero 6 ultra edition is not properly burning my ripped movies. I cannot play my burned discs on my standalone player, and when I play them in my computer they come up as seperate vob files that I have to click on individually to play.(the same files I dragged over to burn it into a compilation) Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? Once again everything has been going great with nero up until this point, and I have not made any changes to my settings. The only thing I did prior to this problem was author a few converted avi files with tmpgenc dvd author. I'm really vexed as to what has happened! Thank you in advance!
ok here is an update, I can now watch the files directly without clicking the vob/vts files on my computer, but they still wont play in my stand alone. I guess I will uninstall and see how it goes......
Anytime someone mentions a DVD will not play in a stand alone player, I think about bitsetting. Do you happen to know if the DVDs are being set to mimic a DVD-ROM? Your stand alone may not need this, but something to look at. Do you know if you are burning the files in the correct manner for a DVD? Maybe a log would help--make sure you remove the serial number.
lol...it's funny that you mention bitsetting...I made a previous post about that. My bitsetting option is not available in nero(i can't find it) Maybe I need an update, but I have never had to use it before! I'm using nero 6 ultra editon 6.0....what do I need to update to for the bitsetting option??
