nero not working properly

Have new computer and have had dvd shrink and nero installed I can burn dvd but it will only play on my computer and not on my dvd player, also have tried to install nero 7 but it fails at the end.
Can anyone help please.

 

The latest version of Nero7 is full of bugs and causing errors, I would download this version until the version has been rectified.

Thank you for that, but would you know why I can no longer play dvds other than on my computer.

 

Some stand alone players accept the +R format, some accept the-R format and some BOTH.
Most accept the DVD-ROM format so you will have to look at the Disc format you are presently using.

 

I just checked up with some older dvds and they are the same format as these ones so it seems that something has happened when he reloaded it onto my new computer....that is the only explanation that I can come up with.
