I recently installed Nero7 and now Nero Photosnap and Nero Showtime grab everything into Nero that I receive or want to open as a photo or video. Furthermore, they frequently are unable to open the particular file sent to me and I have to save it and open it from there under something else. How do I choose not to have Nero taking command in this way?
That happened when you installed Nero. There was a file association dialogue box that set it up. To change, go to Control Panel-Folder Options-File Types tab. Find the one you want to change and click the change button. Two things you might look at are, change the basic association of what program runs the file when opened, and the check mark on "Always use the selected program". If you uncheck this, you may only get the selection window when you open that type file with whatever you selected for primary utlity as default choice.
