I just updated to this new 7 from 6. I can not figure out how to set burning speed in nero express. It was easy and right there in 6.
I think after trying this 7 i will go back to 6

Most of the updates of late has been bluray stuff. Likely will keep beeing so for a while. I say if you have a version that works well for you then stick with it until it calms down a bit.

I updated and per Irelands posts and the research and brain pickin on Alkohol am liking this version and using more opts and burning rom and vision and recode seem a bit better . No cons so far and trying some new tricks. Chris

Edit I left Nero Scout off but I think I'll add it on the other puter for media files and see how it works.

    HELP!!
How do I set the burning speed in nero express, with this new 7.5.9.0a
In 6.6.0.18 it was right there when you chose burner and how many copies.

On the left of the burn screen there is a bar with an arrow in it. Click on that to open a side bar type window to set the speed.

Like billmex, I can report the very same Nero Vision 7590A problem, namely Nero Showtime (i.e. v 3.2.3.1) will not play DVD-ROMs - even ones created with Nero Burning ROM/Nero Vision (7590A ones nor even those created by previous versions of Nero s/w), the following error pops up when you try to play the DVD with Showtime:

"Sorry the folder you have selected does not contain a valid DVD-Video, SVCD, or VCD structure. Please use the 'Media Files' function to browse and play back files from this folder"

    Pants!

Update: It you run Nero Showtime and then load your DVD into the drive, it will play it just fine.... it is just the autoplay of the DVD via showtime which fails with the previous error I listed (i.e. showtime is NOT already running when you put the DVD it the drive)

I'm also having problems with showtime. I"ve installed 7.5.7 and 7.5.9, and I get extreme pixalation, IE: large blocks of various amounts. But the dvd's work with Media Player.

I'll try the "A" version and see what happens.

higgielk where you you the extreme pixalation ?

I get no extreme pixalation with slide shows shown via a Web browser or with a player like PowerDVD. I don't seem to see any extreme pixalation anyplace, so let me know where and how it happens for you. Thank a lot!

For me the same DVDs play fine with PowerDVD and MS MediaPlayer, but not this 7590A version of Nero Showtime.

actually everywhere. mostly center and right. I'm not sure if its macro blocks or pixalation, but the same disk will play in my home player as well as with Mediaplayer11, and NVdvd, which came with my graphics card...
Not sure what their issue is, but showtime use to play well until the last couple of upgrades. I did a complete uninstall, and used the cleaning tools, and reboots, and the new install still does the same thing!!!!
At first I thought it was my dvd drives, but other software works and the tv dvdplayer works....hope they fix it.

higgielk as luck has it, I have recreated the extreme pixalation problem of showtime v3 (that comes with Nero 7590A)

I did this on another computer... one deskop I have is fine with the new showtime (except for the autoplay error I reported before). Another desktop has the "extreme pixalation" problem you mention.

Basically the showtime v3 "extreme pixalation" for those that wish to know is:
    (a) half the picture is missing
    (b) the half that remains takes up the same normal space but is blocked, and all messed up. e.g. persons bit of head is someplace else that where it should be, their arm is offscreen etc....
    (c) it is a true mess !

I think the problem MUST be to do with either the video card or monitor resolution.

All I now know is the Extreme Pixalation ShowTime problem happens with the following display/graphics setup:

S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR, driver 6.14.10.12 dated 26th May 2003, Video BIOS 60.00.10, video memory 32Mb - computer running under Windows XP SP2. max screen resolution with the monitor is 1024 x 768 pixels.

Maybe the video memory is too low for this new showtime version?

I tried to change the resolution (i.e. to lower res) but problem still happens

I tried to "install" (by directory copy of the showtime directory) a previous showtime version (from 7.5.2.7 which worked fine) to replace this new version - but it wouldn't run with the newer Nero 7590A bits and bobs
