I just got a new computer and I can't seem to get Nero to work with dvd shrink. Here is the log. The weird time gap is because I thought the disc was blank when I put it in before I went to bed, but it wasn't and I didn't catch it until the next day. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Hi. Your Firmware is up to date. (i think...) In our firmware files it says latest ver to be 1.04... Leave it as it is then... If you're using Shrink, then keep set edge to 4300Mb to keep it in the safe zone. CMC Mag are bad media but since you're using an RW, it isn't too bad... If you get a DVD+-R tough, try to get Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim... Those are known for being good quality. This makes me believe that the DVD-RW you're using isn't empty... Well, we know you shouldn't burn too fast, but c'mon... 4x is apropriate, unless the media can't do more than that. That's another Gb burnt in... Disable it.
Media Specific [16..63]: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 - 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 - 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 - 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................
This means your burner can't recognize your media so it's trying general ways to make it work... Might do, but might not... Depends on your luck... Can't find the DVD even tough it burnt a bit of it...
